True story: I made these bumper stickers. more on that later, but they do, in fact, exist in real life. Every Saturday, we go out looking for garage sales. It usually takes a couple hours and sometimes we don’t find anything but more often that not, we find something cool and drink good coffee and laugh and get grumpy by the end. Last Saturday, we were driving around and trying to turn left out of a busy intersection. It was a little bit of a hairball situation and I was trying to time it right because there was a lot of traffic for 9 in the morning. And this guy pulls up behind us and starts honking. I’m like “what’s his problem? Can’t he see the traffic?” More honking. “What the f**k, man?” I give him a. look and he gives me a shrug. Whatever, dude. I finally see my window and make the left leaving him to think in my dust. Then I realize: oh he was honking at this bumper sticker on the van. He also IS. oh wow. I put this message into the world, I received a response, and how did I receive it? Like a jerk. It bothered me all day. It still bothers me. If you’re reading this: I’m sorry. You are cool and I was too far in my bubble to realize it. Thanks for thinking me awake, my friend. Long may we honk.
